  • Our fees are increasing to better reflect the time, expertise, and care involved in each consultation.

Beyond the appointment itself, our dietitians dedicate significant time to preparation and follow-up, including reviewing notes and developing cohesive, personalised plans tailored to your needs. This ensures every session delivers genuine value and supports high-quality, evidence-based care without compromising on attention or outcomes.

Initial consultations include an additional 60–90 minutes of professional preparation and follow-up outside the appointment itself. Review consultations include 15–30 minutes of professional time for every 30 minutes of face-to-face (telehealth) consultation time—the time you spend on the video link with your dietitian.

  • All of the Savvy Dietetics team are Accredited Practicing Dietitians with additional training around invisible illness care.

Differences in our pricing tiers reflect the following:

    Clinical Dietitian

    • Accredited Practicing Dietitian with broad clinical understanding of medical nutrition therapy for health conditions across the lifecycle.

    • Has participated in >20 hours of up-skilling in the invisible illness dietetics space prior to working with clients at Savvy Dietetics.

    • Is confident working with invisible illness clients. Has support from our team to troubleshoot any questions and ensure a high quality of care.

    Experienced Dietitian

    • Confident in supporting clients with various invisible illness conditions. Largely confident with highly complex cases but will seek support from senior dietitians and the team to troubleshoot as needed.

    • More than 1 year of experience working in the invisible illness dietetics space

    • Worked with 150+ invisible illness clients

    • Engages in ongoing mentoring and CPD

    Senior Dietitian

    • Involved in leadership and mentoring within Savvy Dietetics

    • Contribute to advancing dietetic invisible illness care outside of Savvy Dietetics (e.g. educational series, podcasts, research)

    • Worked with 350+ invisible illness clients

    • Engages in ongoing mentoring and CPD

  • ‘Support activity’ is a term that covers any additional tasks that your dietitian completes outside of your consult and allocated consult admin time, to help ensure that you receive quality care. This can include detailed letters for your GP or Specialist (outside of letters we are obligated to write to your referring GP for CCMP or EDP referrals), recipe guides, custom meal planning resources, allied health case conferencing with your broader team and similar. We always flag when we think we may need to bill for a support activity, and we will always provide a estimated cost. Where possible, we try to complete as much admin as possible during the allocated admin time included in the general consult fee.

For NDIS Plan Managed participants, we bill all support activities and report writing in line with the most current pricing guide.

  • For Plan Managed Participants, we invoice our service fee within the most current NDIS price guide, and we never charge a gap fee. In our invoices, we differentiate the cost of the F2F consult, versus the time for other dietetic care-related tasks around this.

  • We are more than happy to participate in Medicare Case Conferencing. These are 15-40 minute video meetings that involve at least 3 clinicians, including at least 1 medical professional who organises the conference.

At this stage, we bulk bill our participation in case conference itself. If you’d like help with us organising the conference, or following up post-conference, we may ask to bill this time in line with our Support Activity rate if it falls outside the admin time allocated to your most recent dietetic session.

  • We have a 48-hour cancellation policy:

    • 24–48 hours’ notice: 50% of the consultation fee will be invoiced via email

    • Less than 24 hours’ notice: 100% of the consultation fee will be invoiced via email

If you need to reschedule your appointment, please email us (admin@savvydietetics.com.au) as soon as possible.

We understand that life and health can be unpredictable, particularly when living with invisible illness, and we will never judge you for needing to cancel at short notice. However, we do reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee. Late cancellations can be difficult to rebook and may significantly affect our clinicians’ income and the viability of the practice. As an ethical business, we compensate our staff for late-notice cancellations.

  • After a consult, your dietitian will email you an invoice that can be pad via bank transfer.

If you would prefer to pay via card, we can arrange to send you an invoice payable via Stripe. Note that this will include the Stripe processing fee.

  • Overtime

Our dietitians aim to keep all sessions to time where possible - ensuring that you have discussed a thorough, relevant and structured plan by the end of the session.

In situations where your dietitian has availability and where additional time to discuss strategies or similar would be beneficial, they may offer to extend the consult time. For sessions that run five or less minutes late, we do not bill overtime. For sessions that run more than five minutes overtime, we will invoice this in line with your dietitian’s overtime rate (displayed on our pricing page), rounding down to the closes five-minutes.

    Undertime

If a session runs for 60% or less of the scheduled time, and where no additional support activities are required, we will reduce the cost of the consult fee.

If a session runs for less than the scheduled time, we are always happy to allocate this time to writing up your plan or similar (e.g. letter-writing, recipe guide and meal planning development, etc).

  • We accept clients who are seeking to pay privately (pay themselves).

You do not need a referral to see us!
